UNDP

The United Nations Development Programme was founded under United Nations in order to achieve the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which are considered to be a necessity for sustainable life of mankind.

Water crisis, also known as water scarcity, is one of the most important agendas in our century. Water is essential for all socio-economic development and for maintaining healthy ecosystems. As population increases and development calls for increased allocations of groundwater and surface water for the domestic, agriculture and industrial sectors, the pressure on water resources intensifies. And according to current studies, five billion people, or around two-thirds of the world's population, will face at least one month of water shortages by 2050.
In this committee, delegates will be discussing how to resolve this issue within the most peaceful manner.

Committee: UNDP
