WHO (World Health Organization) is a specialized agency of the United Nations responsible for international public health. The WHO works to coordinate global health efforts, provide leadership on international health issues, shape the health research agenda, set norms and standards, provide technical support to countries, and monitor health trends worldwide. Established in 1948, the organization's primary goal is to promote and protect the health of people around the world.
